I consider the wooden spatula to be the most usable utensil in the kitchen. If it's properly constructed, it can serve fried eggs, stir a pot of whatever, and serve some steamed rice. As with the spoons and ladles, the importance of ergonomics is obvious in the handles. 

All are finished with food-safe oils and waxes.
